Shop opening |

The Turk can only smile at the shop opening hours in Germany. Of course the allermeisten shops 7 days the week are open, and of course as a rule to at 23.00 o'clock (at least) 3 bigger supermarkets in the evening, Migros and both Afra's, have opened from 8 o'clock to 22 o'clock. The small Bakkals (the Turkish counterpart to the small corner shop) open according to mood and sales main point: some already in the morning around 5, some only around 9 or 10 and some has also opened around the clock.... |

The banks have fixed opening hours (Mo-Fr, 8.30 o'clock to 17.30 o'clock). However, this is no problem because one can pull in the meantime everywhere money with an EC ticket. The machine sometimes spits out, however, for not comprehensible reasons no money, you should count on it. Also best only bie of the last lira to the machine pilgerm this could not mean a hike to the hotel under circumstances because no money is for taxi, Dolmus or gas more there....

If they have cash, do not exchange it in the airport or in the hotel, even if your friendly hotelier recommends you this.... Everywhere in the Turkish Riviera you "can "survive" at least some days with Euro (or other mottoes). There is on every corner an exchange office which have mostly also a better course than the banks. Also the post(the post office) is very positive. Pay attention, however, to the fact that one does not draw off on the quiet a fee to you, best you calculate before shortly how many millions liras you have to receive ... a completely pocket calculator put by the way on the Tresen miracle works(has an effect) there ;-)) |
